Today sessantacincque years ago, the Red Army soldiers opened the gates of the Auschwitz death camp here because this is the day chosen to commemorate the Holocaust.
Some time ago I found a wonderful quotation from Primo Levi, one of the few who managed to get out alive from that field, that says "if you can not understand, you need to know" and then I feel good today, to celebrate this day Levi expressed a thought of returning in 1974 and I'm sure, still relevant today.
